چکیده
In this work we present some results from the EUROPORT project EUROPENGER{FEDEM. We give a brief presentation of the FEDEM code (Finite Element Dynamics in Elastic Mechanisms), which is a multidisciplinary, multibody simulation package for mechanical systems , and the preliminary results obtained in the parallelization of the system. We have emphasized the data distribution strategies and problems encountered in the parallelization process.

Computing Time Reduction Possibilities in Multibody Dynamics
This document discusses computing time reduction possibilities for the dynamic simulation of large nonsmooth multibody systems. Exemplary regarding the model of a pushbelt continuously variable transmission known from literature, simplifications are derived to examine the underlying problems. Usually one has to deal with the calculation of an adequate initial state and the reduction of the comp...
متن کاملEfficient corrector iteration for DAE time integration in multibody dynamics
Efficient time integration is a key issue in computational multibody dynamics. Implicit time integration methods for stiff systems and constrained systems require the solution of a system of nonlinear equations in each time step. The nonlinear equations are solved iteratively by Newton type methods that are tailored to the structure of the equations of motion in multibody dynamics. In the prese...
متن کاملModal Analysis of Lumped Flexible Active Systems (part 1)
Simulation and prediction of eigenfrequencies and resonance problems for flexible structures is an important task in disciplines such as robotics and aerospace engineering. However, little effort seems to have been put into the problem dealing with modal analysis of mechatronic systems containing coupled flexible structures and control systems. When, for instance, designing a satellite tracking...
متن کاملA real-time recursive dynamic model for vehicle driving simulators
This paper presents the Real-Time Recursive Dynamics (RTRD) model that is developed for driving simulators. The model could be implemented in the Driving Simulator. The RTRD can also be used for off-line high-speed dynamics analysis, compared with commercial multibody dynamics codes, to speed up mechanical design process. An overview of RTRD is presented in the paper. Basic models for specific ...
